ADO Den Haag suffered a sensitive defeat against the local FC last weekend in Emmen. By the end of the game, the team was still right, but a great goal from Emmen-player Anco Jansen did the team of trainer Groenendijk the badger. Because of the loss in Drenthe, ADO is currently in thirteenth place in the Dutch league. This means that the citizens of The Hague are not yet freed from the fear of a nacompetition.

At PEC Zwolle, Jaap Stam can probably drink free in every pub. PEC seemed to face a disastrous season, but since the appointment of the former international, there was no loss. Last Saturday, there was a draw against SC Heerenveen. At the Abe Lenstra Stadium it became 1-1. It meant Zwolle’s first loss in the year 2019, but PEC could just as easily be in the Play Offs for relegation, as those for European football.

Where ADO Den Haag all seems to be against, there is positivity at PEC. Yet that is no certainty for three points.

ADO has to show it now, because if the fanatical fans have to wait any longer …
