Lille did not have to evolve in the preliminary rounds, after the excellent season they had in Ligue 1. In this season, however, the team looks good only on its own ground, where it has won 3 times, with Nantes, St. Etienne and Angers. In the away, Lille was defeated by Reims (score 2-0) and Amiens, score 1-0. It remains to be seen how they will perform in Amsterdam, because it is a land where it is very difficult to win.
