Ajax Amsterdam vs Willem II

For a brief moment, PhD student FC Twente thought it was going to cause a huge stunt last Sunday. Soon the tukkers were leading 2-0 against the strong Ajax and in Enschede they sat down well.

But Ajax came back in the match and eventually “just” also rolled over Twente. The Amsterdammers were taken by the hand by Noa Lang. The twenty-year-old attacker made a hat trick in his basic debut and was allowed to take the game ball home. Incidentally, that ball was first signed by all his teammates. It will be a nice reminder of the start of a, undoubtedly, successful career.

Willem II had little trouble defeating Sparta in his own house. The Tilburgers were 4-0 too strong for the Rotterdam team. Before the break, Nunnely, Ndayishimiye and Heerkens had already provided a major lead. Fifteen minutes after tea, Kohlert determined the final score.

With that Willem II really comes in at the subtop. Certainly after the loss of Vitesse at Feyenoord, Willem II is just the challenger for teams that are just below the top three.

All nice and nice, but Ajax has proven not to be afraid of anyone. If the European top teams are struggling against the players of Ten Hag, Willem II does not have to think that there is anything to be gained in the Johan Cruijff Arena.

Our Prediction: 1

Odds: 1.07
