Albirex Niigata FC vs DPMM FC

Albirex Niigata surprisingly opened the campaign this year with defeat. In the second game they will only be able to appear at home, Jurong East Stadium, facing Brunei DPMM.

Albirex Niigata traveled to Geylang International’s headquarters in the first game last Saturday (2/3) only to surrender from Yuki Ichikawa’s only goal. Bitter again the goal was created 4 minutes before the match broke up.

The defeat ensured that Albirex Niigata had failed to maintain an invincible record last season with 21 wins and 3 draws. Regarding tomorrow’s match, they created 38 goals last season and only conceded 5 times in Jurong East to claim 11 wins and 1 draw.

Meanwhile, Brunei DPMM managed to maintain a positive trend with a 3-0 victory over Geylang International last Saturday (9/3). This time Blake Ricciuyo, Andrey Varankow and Razimie Ramlli each listed their names on the scoreboard.

It was Brunei’s second DPMM victory this season after starting the campaign with a 0-1 victory at Home Utd headquarters. The visit was a good capital to improve last season’s away record which could only be converted into 4 wins and 5 draws, while the remaining 3 lost.

The shocking defeat in the first game did not necessarily make Albirex Niigata a team that could be underestimated. The proof, they managed to shave Brunei DPMM with the last 4-1 score arrived at Jurong East, to wipe out 4 meetings throughout 2018.

Our Prediction: 1
