Croatia vs Azerbaijan

Thursday evening at 21:45 on Maksimir in Zagreb, Croatia opens the EURO 2020 qualifier with a duel against Azerbaijan’s similar nation.
Worldwide finalist of 2018, Croatia still seems to be a national able to change the generation, with relatively young players at major clubs in Europe. However, he did not put a big price on the Uefa Nations League, relegating from Division A, after finishing fourth in Group 4, behind England and Spain.

The advantage of evolving home has put his mark on many occasions, the last time he lost playing in this position was six years ago in a Croatia – Scotland 0-1. In the rest of the matches played in the preliminaries he won most of the duels but always gave at least one goal.

Established relatively recently, the Azerbaijan Football Federation has 27 years since it began operating. Although there is money in the area, there is no source of talented footballers and so the team is only 108th in the FIFA hierarchy. “Milli” is coached by Croatian Nikola Jurcevic, a technician who took over in February this year after he previously coached Dinamo Zagreb, Red Bull Salzburg.

Being a limited national, Azerbaijan lost to the score when playing against a real potentnial team, especially on the move. Her recent results include a 0-5 with Germany, 1-4 with Serbia, 0-4 with Northern Ireland.

From the start, they say that the pitch will lean towards the Azerbaijani gate and they will not even have a single goal. Croatia is the big team, if you treat it seriously you can go out there and lose your score. They have already battled, in the Euro 2016 preliminaries we had a 6-0 for Croatia at home, and a 0-0 away.

Our Prediction: YES

Odds: 3.40
