FC Copenhagen – The year started with a defeat

Under the leadership of Stale Solbakken he won the championship the previous season and received a place in the Champions League qualifiers. In the first round it went through TNS, but in the second round it was eliminated by the Red Star Belgrade, after an attractive double run. In order to gain access to the Europa League groups, he fought with Riga and did not have a hard match. In the groups he did quite well, although in the six matches he scored only five goals and received four. Even in these conditions, he was ranked second, with nine points. In the championship he did more difficult than last year. At the moment, he is only in second place, with 46 points and has a seven point handicap. After the winter break, he played away with Esbjerg. Although he had a better possession, Esbjerg took advantage of the counterattack and managed to push himself to the limit, 1-0. After this defeat, team morale is not good.

Celtic – Starts with the first chance

After losing to Bolton Wanderers and Hibernian, Neil Lennon returned to Celtic to win the championship and has been doing pretty well so far. After 27 stages, he is on the first place with 73 points and has a 10 point advance, compared to the second place Rangers. He has a crushing offense, and Odsonne Edouard is the top scorer with 20 hits and will most likely win the goalscorer trophy. In the Champions League he failed to qualify in the Champions League groups, after being eliminated in the qualifications by CFR Cluj. The Europa League did much better. In a group with CFR Cluj, Lazio and Rennes, he managed to finish in the first place and the only defeat he suffered in the last stage, moving to Cluj, after being safe from the first place. He is now trying to get as far as the Europa League and has a good chance of reaching the next round.

FC Copenhagen vs Celtic Picks

An unbalanced confrontation between the two groups is announced, even if the odds do not show this. Celtic has a lot more value and even if they play the first away game, I think they can decide the fate of the qualification from the first match.

Our Prediction: 2

Odds: 1.60
