FC Groningen vs Feyenoord

FC Groningen coach Danny Buijs sat on the stand of the Kozak Boys during the free weekend of his club. Buijs was successful as a trainer at this amateur club in the past. He is moderately successful now at FC Groningen. In the far north he has a pretty good ride.

His team is in ninth place and that is what you can expect with the material that Buijs has at his disposal. The last two games, against Willem II and Vitesse, were won and the latter in particular is good. In that game, Joel Asoro scored twice. Of course, one swallow does not make a summer yet, but this player can mean a nice future for Groningen.

Feyenoord is also yearning for a bright future. It is not yet as it should be at Feyenoord. Jaap Stam saw that too and he left the Rotterdam superpower behind. Dick Advocaat took over and has done so well up to now. It seemed to go wrong against RKC, but Feyenoord still got things going and kept the three points in De Kuip.

The team from Rotterdam is in tenth place in the Eredivisie and that should of course be much better. It is hoped that Dick Advocaat will really get things moving and Feyenoord will compete again for the first places.

But then there must first be won in the far north. We think that it will work. Berghuis is in good shape and can be very important. As long as he keeps his head on it.

Our Prediction: Over 2.5

Odds: 1.69
