Mansfield Town vs Morecambe

Mansfield tried to keep the tradition of winning over Morecambe this week. They will compete in the Field Mill on Friday (4/19) in the League Two competition.

At the first meeting last October Mansfield managed to steal a single goal at Morecambe headquarters through the action of Neal Bishop. That thin difference was enough to claim the 5th victory for the last 6 meetings against the rival. Mansfield will return to fight in a condition quite ready after winning 2 consecutive wins and 1 draw. This record was received after Saturday (13/4) and they drew at home to Northampton. This achievement keeps them in the top 3.

Meanwhile, Morecambe also won the draw on Saturday (4/13); they gave more threats with 6 shots on target versus 1, but instead conceded first in the 80th minute with Aaron Collins penalty, and returned 8 minutes later through Charles Vernam. Thus, Morecambe has a pocket of 1 victory and 2 draws since losing to Swindon. At the very least, they are still safe from the relegation zone in 19th place with a distance of 9 points from there.

Mansfield is predicted to appear more insistent to prevent the chances of being couped by the two teams below him while trying to overtake Bury as runner up. With the support of the Field Mill public and an impressive record of Morecambe, the mission should be completed.

Odds: 1.63
