Naestved vs Aalborg

The match for the Danish Cup quarter-finals will continue with a match between Naestved who played as the host to entertain Aalborg. This match also became the second meeting match for them, having previously met also in the same event in 2010 and Aalborg won 0-1.

Approximately 9 years have passed since the first meeting, clearly there are already many players who no longer play on the team. Almost all player compositions have changed. However, outside the discussion of their meeting, as the team that played in the second caste of Serbian football, precisely the First Division was an achievement for Naestved to be able to advance to this stage.

Getting rid of teams like AGF Aarhus and Silkeborg IF was clearly a separate note for Aalborg, considering that the two teams removed by Naestved were competitors in league One. Aalborg is the 7th team in the standings while the Turkish superliga, their performances so far are quite good and in the previous round got rid of Roskilde and AC Horsens.

For Naestved they are ranked 4th in the Division One standings, even still competing in the race for the top position. Last season Aalborg also advanced to the quarter-finals and they were eliminated from Fredericia. With the quality of the players and the much better experience of Aalborg’s chances of replacing last season’s mistakes it seems like this is the right thing. Most likely Aalborg will defeat Naestved.
